BRITTO ARTS TRUST is an artists’ run non-profit network founded in 2002 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a global reach. Located on Green Road, Dhaka, Britto fosters a sustainable contemporary art environment that supports interdisciplinary practitioners and networks within the Bangladeshi art scene. It provides a forum for professional development, allowing artists to meet, discuss, experiment, and enhance their skills on their own terms, while acting as a catalyst for new ideas.
Britto has a significant international presence, with participation in key events such as the 2024 Centraal Museum in the Netherlands, Harewood Biennale in the UK, Diriyah Biennale in Riyadh, and Asia Now in Paris. Other notable engagements include the Bengal Biennale in Shantiniketan & Kolkata (2024-2025), Serendipity Art Festival (2023), Kunsthaus Zurich (2023-2026), Art Dubai Artist Commission (2023), 'documenta fifteen' (2022), and various biennales in Jakarta and Taiwan. Britto’s large-scale collective projects are permanently acquired by institutions such as Kunsthaus Zurich, Neue Galerie Kassel, Centraal Museum, and Tate Modern.
Over the years, Britto has collaborated with organisations including Triangle Network, the South Asian Network of Art (SANA), Ford Foundation, and the British Council, among others. These partnerships have enriched the cultural landscape and fostered artistic exchange in Bangladesh and beyond.
