We are excited to introduce the Bengal Biennale Curatorial Fellowship (BBCF), a unique opportunity for young and aspiring curators as part of our inaugural edition of the Bengal Biennale. This fellowship aims to nurture emerging talent by providing practical, hands-on experience in art curation.
The BBCF will select 12 individuals aged 25 and below to participate in an intensive 3-month program, running from October 5, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
Fellowship Highlights
Hands-on Experience: Fellows will work closely with the Biennale curator, project curators, production teams, and advisors. They will actively contribute to the planning, setup, and execution of exhibitions.
Collaboration: Participants will engage in brainstorming sessions and play key roles during the Biennale, interacting with visitors, artists, and dignitaries, while representing the Biennale at various venues.
Skill Development: Fellows will hone their public speaking and interpersonal skills by conducting guided tours and helping manage exhibition spaces.
Stipend: A stipend of ₹10,000 per month will be provided to support participants throughout the program.This fellowship offers an invaluable chance to gain insight into the practical and creative aspects of curating large-scale art events, from detailed project work to high-level event execution.
