In T.V. Santhosh’s diptychs and triptychs from the early 2000s, he used vivid colours to show multiple perspectives resembling surveillance feeds and night-vision. By 2012, his works became more direct and polemic, like posters. In his recent works, Santhosh’s approach has become less colour-coded but more complex. He seamlessly blends truth and fiction in an artistic subversion, mixing it with a broader range of visual references and ideas. The killer instinct within his protagonists emerges sharply in some while it veils itself behind quieter gestures in others. Santhosh melds pragmatism with skepticism, painting not to comfort but to reveal harsh truths.
